About us

My name is Hampus and I have lived in Vaxholm for most of my life. In recent years, skiing has taken me to both Åre and St. Anton, where I have worked and lived. Now I am back in Vaxholm – the place that has always felt like home. In addition to skiing, football, golf and boating are some of my great interests.

With Bikes & Tours Vaxholm, I want to give both residents and visitors the opportunity to discover Vaxholm and the fantastic archipelago in an active, convenient and fun way. As someone who grew up in Vaxholm and has a lifelong interest in the archipelago, I look forward to sharing my best excursion tips and local knowledge.

You will find Bikes & Tours Vaxholm in one of the boathouses in Vaxholm harbour. Here you can rent bikes and book various activities. Several of our bikes can also be rented directly at the quay or from other locations through convenient self-service via bikesandtoursvaxholm.se 

Booking is easy – you receive a code via SMS that unlocks the bike directly on site. When you are finished, return the bike to the same location.

About Vaxholm

Vaxholm, often called the capital of the archipelago, is a charming small town idyll only thirty kilometers from Stockholm. The city was founded by Gustav Vasa in the 16th century and became a popular seaside resort for wealthy Stockholmers during the 19th century. Many of the beautiful turn-of-the-century houses from that time still remain and contribute to the city's unique character.

Today, Vaxholm is a vibrant and popular archipelago town that attracts both local residents and visitors from all over the world. You can easily get here by Waxholmsbåt, bus or car from Stockholm.

Vaxholm municipality consists of 57 inhabited islands and the Bogesundslandet peninsula – which means there is much more to discover than just the city center.
